The death of yet another gay Boston Bar - Why is the community dying?

Granted, whenever I went there the crowd was boring and you had no place to dance only stand, drink and eat. You have to have a hot crowd to draw them in. But this is an alarming trend in Boston. All the gay bars are closing down one by one or are empty of patrons. Who wants to hang out at a lonely empty bar? I don't understand it? A decade or more ago the bars would always have a crowd. How is it more exciting to meet people online? Although the difficult of parking in the city only makes it worse for people who want to drive in.

Years of joy at Fritz Lounge

As painful as sounds, the lovely friendly Fritz closed it's door a month ago. Let's pray for all the locals and visitors to find a Cousy bar to hang out and enjoy the gay environment like my friends and I used to,

Clean, attractive, nice bartenders. If you're going alone, don't expect much conversation unless you're very outgoing and/or buzzed. People stick with their friends and don't introduce themselves to strangers, which is typical for New England. A good place to drink though, even alone, although it can be very awkward to figure out where to stand if you aren't with friends. There's usually some sports on TV to stare at.
