The Summit: A gathering of formerly incarcerated, convicted, policed, and court-involved LGBTQ peop

This gathering is a joint led effort between the Hispanic/Black Gay Coalition & Black and Pink, with the support and endorsement of other organizations. The Summit will function as an opportunity for LGBTQ people across New England to come together, tell their stories, and organize campaigns that will alleviate some of the suffering caused by the prison industrial complex. This space is explicitly designed for those who are formerly incarcerated, convicted, court-involved, or who experience policing. Allies are encouraged to promote the event to friends, family, lovers, clients, etc. and can help with solidarity organizing after the event rather than attend. This gathering will prioritize the voices of people of color, youth, transgender women, HIV+ people, and others most targeted and impacted by the violence of the prison industrial complex.
