A challenging economy has motivated organizations to train their employees to execute more effectively and increase retention at the same time. One of the key ways you do this is to tie learning management directly to your performance management system, so that skill gaps can be immediately identified and remediated.
The challenge, however, is how you get there. Many organizations see learning and performance as separate systems with separate objectives and processes. The former being to ensure that employees are trained to execute their job in a satisfactory manner, and the latter to ensure compliance, compensation management, tracking of performance goals and succession planning. As a result, for some organizations, neither process properly communicates with each other, which prevents the valuable exchange of employee performance/training data between systems.
This webcast will provide tips and tactics towards creating greater harmony between learning and performance management, and the stakeholders that support these systems. It will discuss the benefits for performance appraisals of greater visibility into available training, and likewise demonstrate how an LMS system gains from increased visibility into performance data.
