MARCH with MASSBEARZ !!

MASSBEARZ welcomes ALL bears, cubs, chubs and admirers to March with us! Saturday, June 14, 2014 9am to 1:30pm in the Boston Gay Pride Parade. If you would like to participate with MASSBEARZ please enlist here. We are looking to show the largest Northeast regional bear representation in Boston Gay Pride history! MASSBEARZ welcomes our brother bears, the Northeast URSAMEN and BEAR PROVIDENCE who will be marching with us! We ask that all marching with MASSBEARZ assemble in Boston We will gather at: Intersection, Boylston Street and Exeter Street. This is the Prudential side of Boylston Street. Date: Saturday June 14th Time: 9:00 AM We will have a Bear Pride flag raised and the MASSBEARZ banner to help identify where we are. At 10 AM we will move a short distance to our Parade line up location and we will be here up to and when parade starts at 11AM This is Section D Position 21 at 760 BOYLSTON STREET Location Tip: Lord & Taylor's Please allow yourself ample time to navigate, park and arrive by 9am! This helps MASSBEARZ and allows for us to address safety and Pride Rules and also get help with preparations for balloons, candy and more. This is a great time together before the parade yet becomes a 2 hour wait before the actual parade begins. We will move to be at our respective parade position by 10am. Alternative Option: Find us and jump in! You can join us at any point in the parade! The parade starts at11am. This may be best for those that want to march with us but are hampered by schedules. What to wear: If you are a member of MASSBEARZ, URSAMEN or other bear group please consider wearing a club organizational shirt. All marchers please consider wearing a shirt that represents one of the 7 Bear Pride flag colors: Brown, Dark Orange, Tan, Yellow, White, Gray and Black. Bare chest (fur) and leather are also welcomed. For your safety: MASSBEARZ will have a first aid kit on hand and provide bottled water for all of our Marchers. The Parade will take place Rain or Shine! Be prepared with sun block, umbrella and be dressed weather appropriate. The Pride Parade starts at 11am, is approximately 2 miles and will take about 2+ hours to complete. Please keep hydrated and EAT the morning of the parade!
