“No Place Like Home” – Discussing Homeless LGBT Youth in Boston

This year for National Coming Out Day, we’re asking everyone to come out, listen, learn, and participate in a discussion about youth homelessness. Did you know roughly 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ? On Thursday, October 9 at 6:30pm we will screen “No Place Like Home”, a 25-minute documentary film that focuses on members of Youth On Fire in Cambridge, a drop-in center affiliated with AIDS Action Committee and Fenway Health for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness. Following the film, Youth on Fire members will share their personal stories of coming out and the unique struggles they face being LGBTQ and homeless. This event is free and open to the public - the more the merrier!
