October Community Circle - Navigating Internalized Racism in LGBTQ Communities of Color

In collaboration with Knapsack and QAPA, Community Circle in October focuses on racism in our community. How do we identify racist acts? How do we hold ourselves accountable? How do we create solidarity and support when racist acts happen? We will discuss mircroaggressions and prejudice between people of color as well as highlight the prejudice/power model seen in society. Allies are welcome in this space. FMI on our collaborators visit http://qapa.org/ and http://www.meetup.com/Antiracists/ Community Circle is a safe(r) space where LGBTQ people of color and allies discuss topics ranging from politics to pop culture and partake in activities to explore and share our backgrounds, identities, and relationships.
