The theme of Harvard University's 2018 LGBTQ Conference is "Resilience Through Love and Resistance" and will feature high-level keynote speakers and multiple panels and workshops that seek to understand, analyze, and adapt to the challenges ahead.
Across the United States, the highly polarized political and social climate is raising urgent questions about LGBTQ people and their inclusion in society. In this environment, LGBTQ leaders and communities are faced with resurgent challenges to cultivating and sustaining resilience. The coming period will herald a necessary return to critical hope, and requires exploring alliances of opposition and solidarity across LGBTQ communities domestically as well as with diverse communities facing similar challenges globally.
We are excited to announce that Justice Mary I. Yu of the Washington Supreme Court and comedian, writer, and producer Travon Free will be keynote speakers at this year's conference. The full schedule can be found here: http://harvardlgbtqconference.org/.
