Brit in Boston
In town visiting schools, randomly showed up at this bar... alone. Staff and Patrons very welcoming. I had a lovely evening, with the minor exception of some unwanted attention. I would recommend this place for anyone in town on their own.
better than a chris Harris night.
Lets face it. It's what we have. Deal with it. Go. And have fun. Omg. Drugs in a nightclub. You don't say!! Grow up! It's fun. Just do away with 19 night. Nightclubs have booze drugs and fun. Get over it prissy Bostonians.
I think Machine is the part of the downstairs area that you have to pay to get into. First of all, no gay bar or club in the Boston area these days should be charging a cover. Honestly though, Machine is kind of a mystery to me. The bartenders throughout Ramrod/Machine are great, but I've never had a compelling reason to pay a $10 cover for the Machine area, just so I can pay more for expensive drinks and watch a bunch of kids I have nothing in common with. Anyone over age 30 probably won't feel compelled to enter.
Definitely worth it
A little outside of city but staff was very friendly and crowd was fine. I asked the bartender to make me something with coconut and he did a fantastic job!
