Stevie has always had a fascinating obsession with music. From sitting by the radio in the morning before elementary school with his Talk Boy recording songs he loved on the radio, to downloading new music every day towards building his ever expanding library of music. Stevie prides himself on having the absolute newest, hottest and widest range of tracks He especially loves finding tracks from artists that aren’t usually given a chance in the mainstream. Finding the hidden gems among the many blogs, Sound Clouds, and YouTube videos he browses daily is what makes him truly happy.
His DJ career started getting his first gigs at Machine in February of 2011 under the name DJ Stevie Psyclone. Soon after that, he was offered the resident DJ spot for the Tuesday nights for Club 1254 at the Machine. Today, he has quickly made a name for himself spinning at clubs across MA, RI and NH. His biggest gigs have been playing at Gay Pride 2012 as the live DJ for the EDM artist Kerli. and Boston Gay Youth Pride for the past three years. What makes him stand out is one minute you’ll hear a banging house track as it fades into another remix, that is actually a hip hop sample in the middle of it. He likes to make sure everyone gets a little taste of the music they enjoy, no matter what it may be.
As long as people are happy on the dance floor, Stevie will be bursting with four times the energy. Dancing, singing and jumping in the DJ booth are a few of the common things you’ll see in one of his sets. He makes it hard to not have fun having so much energy. His funny, and crazy personality truly makes him stand out in a crowd. He truly wants to be one with the music, and the people on the dance floor.
