Went there a couple of time diring our stay and enjoyed it. Staff were hintfull on the gay life in boston (or the lack of). Still it was a nice place to hang and relax

Lounge or Cold Chest ...

Found the patrons a little friendly, after I started the conversations. The staff needed a few lessons in courtesy and hospitality ... very `offish`, and somewhat stuck on themselves ... who knows why ... Although I live close compared to many clubs I go to in my travels, I will probably not return, only if by chance I hear the staff, and place has changed hands or has had a great overhauling of attitude.

Good sunday brunch

Located in the former gay area of Boston, this place offers good cocktails, beer and sports. It is awesome with block party on gay pride. The downside is i have never seen a more basic unattractive crowd. If you are under 50, this is not the place for you.(unless your a sports fanatic). It is the anti club cafe, but a definate stop in the warmer months. The decor is clean BUT on weeknights set the lowest settings for the evening on eye candy.

Crowd was good but if you are visiting, stay away

The crowd was good but attitude was lousy. Bartender made a decent drink, guy next to me spoke only when I spoke first and his answers were one word answers. People were not friendly at all. Very clickish. It would be different if they were all HOT but I looked better than 80% of them and certainly have a better personality than 100% of them. I guess the cold has made them all bitter gays! If you are visiting Boston, reccomendation is to stay at hotel, hang out at lobby bar and get on craigslist if you need a gay connection. Avoid the aggravation.

Gays sports bar

This is a neighborhood bar plain and simple. What makes it special is that it is gay and in the South End so it is an easy place to meet someone for a drink in the afternoon or evening. The relaxed atmosphere is in direct contrast to Club Cafe down the street, but makes it fairly central to a handful of other bars.
